The new, updated Epic V12 is designed to be the ultimate downwind machine for advanced paddlers. The updated design has more rocker, a reconfigured cockpit for a dryer ride and a more responsive rudder position, all while keeping a hint of extra stability over the V14.
After testing several prototypes in locations around the world, Epic feel that this is their best ever surfski for open-water paddling, especially big downwind. The new V12 is faster than the V10 on flatwater and is a good choice for those looking to move up. Highly skilled paddlers with perfect balance will find the V14 slightly faster in calm water. But as soon as the wind and waves pick up the new V12 will be their weapon of choice. Mere mortals who want a really fast boat that can also handle rough stuff will find a good fit in the new Epic V12.
The new Epic V12 is a surfski that is nimble in the runs, designed to give paddlers full confidence when it’s time to lay the hammer down. It has been re-configured from the ground up to produce a shape capable of easily linking runs together in big conditions, while offering achievable improvements in flatwater speed for paddlers moving up from other models.
